This book is called “the Naija Architect guide “, but to me, it felt like “Letters to a young aspiring Architect -The professional Journey Ahead”. It is an honest, heartfelt and refreshing exposition of the rigorous steps taken by the architect to see a project to fruition. My favorite thing about this book is the writing style, it is brilliant and concise and gives us all a chance to explore the proper Architectural process in Nigeria through simple relatable characters. As an Architect, I am grateful for Principals like Ayoyi, can totally relate to young Anjie and pray for clients like Mr Lohi.

To attain our client's dreams, sustain their resources and maintain the standards we are sworn to uphold, architects glean essential 'best practice' principles from an assortment of formal and informal sources. The imperative to illuminate, illustrate and integrate improvements to the architectural development process underpins Architect Ololade Babajide-Suleiman's initiative to assemble these practice gems in an accessible, handy manual. Practical, paced and poised, this quintessential addition to the architects' arsenal of professional tools also serves the needs of other project stakeholders by introducing them to elements of the architect's processes and establishing expectations, thus resulting in a reasoned, rational and refined built environment for all.
